Here’s a simple Thanksgiving activity/tradition that does not take any preparation and it makes everyone feel good about themselves.
Each person turns to the person to their left (or right) and says one thing they do (or represent) for which they are thankful.
For example let’s say my daughter was sitting next to me. I would turn to her and say out loud, that I am thankful for the sense of humor she has, and how many times I smile and laugh because of her. (Contributed by Mia)

Yesterday I posted a tradition that one of our readers shared with me. Here’s another one:
Gifts of Thanks
At the last Thanksgiving that I hosted, I did some similar “activities”. The table was decorated of course with Thanksgiving confetti, “fabric leaves” from the art store, chocolate shaped candy, other Thanksgiving items, and at each place setting, I had a small gift bag that had each recipients name on it(found these at a card store), inside each were a few small trinkets, Lindt chocolate wrapped in matching fall colors, and shredded tissue paper.
I had also searched the internet about Thanksgiving and thoughtful sayings/holiday significance and I printed one for each person and placed that along side their personalized gift bag. We each took turns reading our quote or saying, and adding any personal thoughts. I had also done a search on Thanksgiving games and created a Thanksgiving Trivia game – we couldn’t eat until we played. It was so much fun and everyone was involved in the process. Have everyone bring a baby photo of themselves. Put the photo on a board and number them. Hand out a piece of paper and ask each person to try to guess who it is. This works best when you have family and friends together who may not have seen one another as a baby.
